Directions to the School of International & Public Affairs
By Automobile:
Columbia University is accessible from the Henry Hudson Parkway (9A/The West Side Highway). Whether traveling north or south on 9A, exit at the 125th Street exit. Travel east along 125th Street to Amsterdam Avenue (3 blocks), and turn right to go south down Amsterdam Avenue. Turn left on 118th Street.
If coming to SIPA from the FDR Drive on the east side, you can also exit at 125th Street. Travel west to Amsterdam Avenue, turn left to go south down Amsterdam Avenue and continue as indicated above.
The School of International and Public Affairs is located at 420 West 118th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Drive. Be aware that when you enter the building, "street level" is considered the fourth floor.
By Subway:
Take the 7th Avenue IRT local train (1/9) to the Columbia University stop at 116th Street/Broadway at the intersection of Columbia's "College Walk" and Broadway. (Please note that the 116th Street stop is a local stop only- do NOT take the express trains (2/3) north of 96th Street.) Upon exiting from the station, walk east on College Walk to Amsterdam Avenue, cross the street, walk north to 118th Street and turn right.
The School of International and Public Affairs is located at 420 West 118th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Drive.
